Section 8 HCV Program

**Portability Notice
for Non-Resident Applicants**

Applicants for the Section 8 HCV Program who cannot prove residency in Bristol Housing's service
area for a period of at least 12 consecutive months immediately prior to being issued a voucher,
will not be allowed to port their voucher to another locality immediately upon voucher issuance.

Bristol Housing's service area includes Bristol, TN, and portions of Sullivan County,
TN in the towns of Piney Flats, Blountville and Bluff City.

Non-resident applicants once issued a voucher by Bristol Housing, must lease in
Bristol Housing's service area for at least one (1) year prior
to requesting portability to another locality.
